Viewing: Fit for purpose1Improve web site design - is it fit for purpose?Improving web design is largely about defining the business objectives and translating that to navigation and layout: but there are specifics that need to be incorporated - for example, eye traffic. Visitor eyeballs look at the centre of the page, then track to bottom right, then top left. So, your main message is centre, your secondary objective is bottom right and kept above the fold. The navigation system needs to be simple, simple, simple. On this site we have lots of drop downs and flyouts; this is to aid our visitors to find the relevant information fast. Truth is, you're already bored reading this far. So stop, send us the url of your underperforming pages and we'll give you a free critique.
Naturally we expect this offer to turn into paying business - so if you're not serious about employing professionals then go somewhere else. We're choosy who we work with too. Meantime, if you want to discuss the whole enchilada - design, traffic, ecommerce etc - call Derek Mansfield or Ian Burgess now on 08703 50 25 50. And start to get a proper return on your investment. Ian, Account Director
