Viewing: DisplayDisplay advertising, rich media advertising, banners, skyscrapers, insterstitials, superstitials, sliders, pop-unders, pop-ups… the list goes on and onPop ups used to rule. Then browsers banned them - so "messengers" appeared as a workaround… and so it goes. In theory you can buy banners or skyscrapers, interstitials and superstitials, sliders or pop-unders from individual sites or through major networks. In practice it requires expert planning and implementation. The ads can be static, flash or video - choice is limited only by business objectives, ROI and cash. Fortunately using a savvy rich media (video, flash etc) need not be expensive - and done properly display ads create lead generation and memorable branding.
Planning, creating and implementing a rich media ad campaign is not for amateurs though - especially as you need to track results and compare them with other promotional methods.
